How do we work with the InDesign extension and more than one Art Director
This article describes how you can work with the Magma InDesign extension and several Art Directors
Several Art Directors can work on a issue at the same time and share the content downloaded from Magma.
Sharing layout documents and resources/files
By default, all content downloaded from the Magma InDesign extension is downloaded into “/Users/[Your username]/Documents/Magma” on your computer. However, if you wish to share the InDesign document and its layout with other Art Directors, they need access to the downloaded files as well.

This requires a shared drive between the Art Directors (If you haven’t already got a shared drive, we suggest you use DropBox).
Once you have decided where you want to put the files and InDesign documents, simply open the Magma InDesign extension and click in the top right corner of the extension to view the panel menu and click “Options”.
In the options, you can now set a new path for your resources.
Mac users should remember to add “/volumes/” before the path of any shared drives (DropBox users do not need to do this).

All content files from Magma will now be downloaded to the shared drive.
To share the InDesign document and let others work on it, simply save it to the same shared drive.
Working with books in InDesign
To let several Art Directors work on the same issue at the same time, you can split your issue into several InDesign documents and connect them with the Books feature in InDesign.
